Accelerating Climate Action Together
The mission of the GRC is to accelerate the implementation of Boston’s Climate Action Plan together with our most influential institutions. The GRC serves as an international model for the governance of public-private climate action.
Membership Institutions
The GRC’s members include many of Boston’s most influential institutions across higher education, health care, commercial real estate, culture, business, energy, and civic leadership. Together, they bring the scale, expertise, and resources needed to accelerate climate action across the city.
Working Groups
The work of the Green Ribbon Commission is structured through sector and topic working groups that tackle efforts outlined in the strategic plan – sharing best practices and findings as they go. Working groups convene leaders in commercial real estate, cultural institutions, health care, higher education, coastal resilience, and grid modernization to advance initiatives and drive action based on research and analysis.
