City of Boston Climate Action Plan

Boston’s newly updated 2030 Climate Action Plan provides a five-year roadmap for cutting carbon emissions, strengthening climate resilience, and creating a healthier, more affordable city. The Plan brings mitigation, resilience, and climate justice into one integrated framework and sets a clear focus for the years ahead: implementation.

That work is already underway across the GRC network. In alignment with our own 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, the GRC is also leading several collaborative projects designed to address some of the toughest implementation challenges facing the city. Together, this work helps connect Boston’s climate ambitions with the institutional leadership, technical expertise, and investment needed to deliver them.
