Our Work
Boston has the plans, expertise, and institutional leadership needed to deliver meaningful climate action. The GRC’s strategic aims reflect the priorities of the City and the strengths of our membership, focusing our collective talent, assets, and influence where they can have the greatest impact.
Through our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, we are accelerating work across three interconnected areas essential to Boston’s climate future: large building decarbonization, coastal resilience, and grid modernization. Each requires coordinated public-private action, sustained investment, and the participation of the institutions that shape how Boston operates, grows, and prepares for the future.
City of Boston Climate Action Plan
The City of Boston’s Climate Action Plan provides the roadmap for reducing emissions, strengthening resilience, and building a healthier, more equitable city. The GRC works alongside the City and Boston’s leading institutions to help move that plan from commitment to implementation. Through this partnership, the GRC helps ensure that Boston’s climate plans are matched by the investment, infrastructure, and institutional action required to deliver them.
GRC Strategic Plan
The GRC’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan defines where our network can have the greatest impact. It focuses our work on three priorities—large building decarbonization, coastal resilience, and grid modernization—where public-private collaboration is essential to accelerating climate action at scale.
