Azanta Thakur

Azanta Thakur is the GRC’s Operations Manager. With five years of experience in climate action, strategic communications, and organizational operations, she brings expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. At the GRC, she supports the implementation of Boston’s climate goals by coordinating strategic initiatives, strengthening institutional partnerships, and managing the day-to-day operations that enable collective action. With a background in climate change and public health, Azanta is particularly interested in advancing equitable climate solutions that improve community health and resilience. In addition to her role, she is also a content creator who partners with publishing houses and bestselling authors to amplify diverse voices in literature and engage young readers.

Azanta holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Environmental Analysis & Policy from Boston University and a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida.
