The Green Ribbon Commission was delighted to gather our members at Northeastern University to release our next strategic plan.
The scale and pace of action that Boston needs to take on climate is unprecedented and comes at a time of massive change on the federal level. But Boston is positioned to lead.
Each pillar of our plan is a place where the City needs to be bold, and where partnership with the private sector is critical. We will focus on implementing solutions at scale – funding and building billions of dollars worth of coastal protection projects, decarbonizing our most energy-intensive buildings, and modernizing our electric grid and transitioning off natural gas.
This work requires deep, new forms of collaboration across the public and private sectors and communities. We look forward to diving in with our members and partners.
